Lenovo has a new laptop in its ThinkPad line ge lwa site, specially for pupils and students is intended. The 11.6″-X130e is therefore endowed with an additional sturdy rubber housing, customized hinges, and recessed ports.
Lenovo provides the X130e in different configurations, where customers can choose processors from both Intel and AMD. It is the Core i3-2367M, the Fusion E-300 or the Fusion E-450. There can be up to 8GB memory built in for storage, there is the choice between a 320GB or a 500GB hard drive. The laptop is equipped with a rubber schermcover, a 1.2 mm thick plastic panel over the screen, and recessed ports in order to better be able to withstand intensive use. The hinges are according to Lenovo is good for 30,000 open-sluitcycli.
The X130e features a webcam, hdmi and vga outputs, wi-fi and usb ports. The chiclet keyboard is in the middle with a red trackpoint, as usual with Lenovo laptops. The device weighs less than 1.8 kg, and according to Lenovo, 8.5 hours can last on a single charge. Further the company informs that the laptop thanks to its Rapidboot technology, in less than 20 seconds to start. From december 20, is the laptop in the webshop of Lenovo to purchase, starting at 469 euro.
