HP has the company Hiflex Software acquired in an attempt to the web-based printing can be an additional boost. The German company, valley for ten years, has specialized in the so-called web-to-print market.
Financial details about the acquisition were not disclosed. Neither is known what HP concrete plans with his new purchase. The manufacturer says that it is the way in which companies personalized business printing, wants to simplify. “The technology of Hiflex provides a powerful platform that makes this possible,” said Vyomesh Joshi, vice-president of the Imaging and Printing Group at HP.
Hiflex is active in various print-related markets, including a beheerinformatiesysteem for the printing industry and a webwinkelplatform for print services via the cloud, including business cards, brochures and flyers. The entire platform is developed on the basis of Drupal, an open-source cms.
The German company continues its current products and services offering to its current customers.
