Honeycomb update for Logitech Revue media player released

Logitech has begun with the online updating of the firmware of the Logitech Revue media player to Android 3.1. Because of this, users get the decision on a new interface and access to the Android Market.

The Logitech Revue had a bad start because then Google TV version does not meet the expectations of users are met. The update to Android 3.1, also known as Honeycomb, the device would have a second youth.

Logitech has since Monday started with the online update of the mediakastjes and it takes about a week for all Revue-players will receive the update. New Revue, the customers get upon activation of the device directly, the ability to upgrade to Honeycomb. Sony released the Android 3.1 update for its tvs based on Google TV is already a month earlier.

With the update Revue-users a new graphical interface presented, the Logitech Media Player improved and they have access to the Android Market. It contains now about 50 apps that are optimized for the full hd resolution of hdtv’s. One of the apps is Google’s own Google Music.

The new Google Chrome browser in Android 3.1 for the Revue has support for the wireless keyboard that Logitech in the device provides. Also brings the browser extensive search capabilities to the platform, the platform has support for Adobe Flash 10.2.
