The Gnome Project has a website where extensions for Gnome 3.2 are included. Using Firefox, users can access the extensions for the popular desktop environment directly from the browser.
Extensions for Gnome 3.2 are similar to add-ons for Firefox or Chrome Extensions, and give developers the ability to add additional functionality to Gnome. By to access a website which freely available extensions are shown, hopes that the Gnome Project developers to motivate them to be more expansions to develop for Gnome. The extensions, however, work only in Gnome 3.2 and higher; users who have Firefox 3.0 running, need to upgrade. Also, there are still problems with the install of the extensions with WebKit-based browsers, such as Chrome, and Epiphany.
