Publisher Electronic Arts has released a browser-based game in the Command & Conquer franchise, announced. The mmo-strategy game is called Tiberium Alliances and is made by the German ontwikkelstudio Phenomic, which is the property of EA.
Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances is a browser-based massively multiplayer online strategy game set in the world of the Command & Conquer Tiberium series. Players get involved in a massive battle for the scarce raw material Tiberium. The game makes use of html5 and is therefore to play with every browser, including mobile platforms. Electronic Arts proposes on the website of the game that this is one of the first truly portable strategy games.
Electronic Arts has not yet announced when the final version of Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances online, but interested gamers can register at the website of the game to sign up for the closed beta test of the game. The website, however, seems still not to work.
The unveiling of Tiberium Alliances will follow shortly on the announcement of Command & Conquer: Generals 2, that during the SpikeTV Video Game Awards officially to the public was proposed. That game is developed by BioWare and will be published in 2013.
