Dutch companies have a backlog with the use of mobile internet. Where the Netherlands in 2010 was still roughly at the European average was, now fewer companies than average use of mobile internet.
About 41 percent of the Dutch companies allow employees via 3g online, according to a Tuesday study from the European statistiekinstituut Eurostat. That is less than the European average of 47 percent. In other West-European countries, the percentage is often higher. In Germany, 57 percent of the companies mobile online, in France 60 percent and in United Kingdom on 52 percent. Only Belgium lags behind the Netherlands; there has 29 percent of the companies access to the mobile internet.
Eurostat does not explain why the Netherlands in the past year is going to lag behind. Last year it was 28 percent of the Dutch companies via mobile broadband online, with a European average of 27 percent.
In the area of internet usage, runs Netherlands is in the forefront, according to research. All Dutch companies have a internet connection. Approximately 82 percent of the companies has a website, while 97 percent of the internet access used for filling out forms for the government.
The examination was held in all 27 countries of the European Union. Only companies with ten people or more were interviewed for the research.
