Black Friday sales American webshops grows by 26 percent

American online stores have on Black Friday done good business. According to figures from market research company Comscore, is the turnover from last Friday with 26 percent compared to Black Friday last year.

According to Comscore, U.s. consumers on Black Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving, for the 816 million dollars on online purchases made, a revenue increase of 26 percent for the online stores. Also the number of consumers that an order placed at web stores increased strongly; in total, approximately 50 million Americans on the internet purchased a product, an increase of 35 percent. Most popular was Amazon, followed by Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target and Apple.

The Comscore numbers are comparable with the statistics that IBM showed; according to IBM Coremetrics increased online sales by 24.3 percent compared to Black Friday in 2010. IBM follows the dealing of five hundred merchants.

Physical shops did good business on Black Friday. Americans bought a record amount of 11.4 billion dollars. The increase in sales of 6.6 percent, however, less spectacular than that of online stores. Throughout the Black Friday weekend was collect 52.4 billion spent, while on average 400 dollars per person was issued. It is Black Friday, a reference to the day on which shops for the first time in the year in the black, still the most important day to generate revenue.
