BioWare confirms Command & Conquer: Generals 2

During the Video Game Awards is Command & Conquer: Generals 2 officially announced. The game is set ten years after the first part. BioWare Victory is developing the game based on Battlefield 3 engine Frostbite 2.

BioWare confirms earlier rumors about the new title from the studio, last night at the Video Game Awards as Command & Conquer: Generals 2 officially announce. The strategy game is made by the beginning of this year, established studio, Victory Games, which, after the last reorganization of EA’s BioWare label is placed. Generals 2 will be published in 2013 for the pc and is being developed on Frostbite 2, the same engine behind Battlefield 3.

In an interview with IGN makes producer Jon van Caneghem clear that the game is ten years after the first General game playing. Although in the first instance, peace prevails, politicians murdered during a terrorist attack. Only the generals remain, and then breaks there is a war between the GLA, the EU and a third unannounced faction. In addition to single player the game also features a multiplayer mode.

Command & Conquer: Generals 2 will have a minimum of a Windows Vista SP1 system, with a 2GHz-dualcoreprocessor necessary. Furthermore, it is 2GB ram and 20GB free disk space expected. The graphics card should have 512MB of video memory and compatible with DirectX 10. ATI Radeon 3870 or Nvidia GeForce 8800GT are provided as an example. A Windows 7 system with a quadcoreprocessor, 4GB ram and a DirectX 11 graphics card with 1GB of video memory is recommended.
