‘Amazons Kindle Fire reached second place, the tablet market’

The expectation is that Amazon is the last quarter of 2011, 3.9 million Kindle Fire tablets to sell. This would make the relative newcomer with a market share of 13.8 percent and the second place on the global tablet market to achieve.

Amazons estimated market share of 13.8 percent is more than the share of 4.8 percent, Samsung on the tablet market. Apple remains by far the market leader with a market share of 65,6 percent. The figures come from market researcher iSuppli. The Nook from Barnes & Noble would be the fourth place, while HTC place five for his take.

The company says that it seems that the first real competitor of the iPad has appeared, with a low price, good marketing, accessible content and a clear business model if the advantages are mentioned. However, many reviews of the Android tablet is not very promising. iSuppli believes that Apple at the low price of the Kindle Fire are going to respond with a price reduction of the iPad 2 once the iPad 3 comes out. The prediction is that the worldwide tablet market to 64,7 million units will grow this year, while in 2010 was only 17.4 million tablets were shipped.
