Adtran buys breedbanddivisie of Nokia Siemens Networks

Nokia Siemens Networks has activities for fixed broadband connections sold to the American supplier of network equipment Adtran. Approximately four hundred employees of Nokia Siemens Networks at Adtran work.

How much of Adtran for the acquisition has been paid, is not published. The grid expects the acquisition at the end of april 2012 to have completed. With the acquisition gets Adtran variety of technology for fixed broadband Nokia Siemens Networks in the hands, as well as the customer base of the company.

By the sale of businesses want to Nokia Siemens Networks profitable again. In november the company announced that 17,000 jobs will disappear before the end of 2013, while the company also announced its wimax division to sell to NewNet Communication Technologies. Nokia Siemens Networks says that it is in the coming years, primarily want to focus on the mobile market.
