Acer has launched its long-awaited tablet Iconia Tab A200 officially presented. The device, that Android ICS is running, is part of a new range, and in some countries already shipped. A Dutch release will follow in early 2012.
Opposite Tweakers.net let Acer know that the Iconia Tab A200 in late February or early march in the Dutch shops. This let the manufacturer know that the wi-fi versions; support for 3g is not on the schedule. It is not yet known what price the new tablet, but Acer is expected to be soon with more information.
The Iconia Tab A200 features Nvidia’s Tegra 2 chip, which is often for Android tablets is used. The 10.1″screen has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and there is a 2-megapixelfrontcamera on board for use with video calling. The software is based on Android Ice Cream Sandwich with version number 4.0, with Acer its own shell over the operating system. This is the Ring called and has several ring-shaped interface elements. In terms of hardware, the tablet seems on the A500, Acer previously published.
Details about the Iconia Tab A200 came already to the outside. In a product video was the appearance clear to see. According to Acer include the new tablet to a new product range and is, therefore, not to be a successor of the A100 version, which in september in the Netherlands came out.
