Zarafa provides Linux mail server web-based management interface

Zarafa, a Dutch company that is the eponymous open-source alternative for Exchange on the market, has for his mail server, a management interface and released it in a web browser is running. This would simplify administration.

The admin-interface, Z-Admin is called, should the administration make it easier for companies that the open source software to use, but little Linux experience. Using Z-Admin allows system administrators to the Zarafa-server to configure and manage. It is also a surveillance function is available, while the user manager for the mail and calendar software can be linked to Microsoft Active Directory. Companies that don’t separate Linux server or be able to run, have the ability to Zarafa as a virtual appliance to run.

Z-Admin, that is based on the Yaffas-framework, like the Zarafa-software open-source. Main driver behind the development of the web interface is the German company, Bitbone AG. Z-Admin is available for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
