VIA introduces small desktop with dualcore Eden cpu

The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer VIA has for do-it-yourselfers a very compact pc developed, of which the volume is less than one liter. The minidesktop is powered by a dual-core Eden processor with a clock speed of 1GHz.

VIA launches the Artigo A1150 as a diy package; the user needs a storage medium as a hard disk or ssd and add memory. Also is the barebone of course without operating system. With support up to 4GB ddr3 memory can Windows XP or Windows 7, click the Artigo system to be installed. VIA delivers optional wi-fi adapter and sd card reader.

The A1150 system comes with a dual-core VIA Eden X2 processor at 1GHz clocked, and 2MB L2 cache. The pico-itx motherboard has only one slot and features a single sata port. Furthermore, four usb 3.0 ports, a gigabitnetwerkconnector and three audio ports are present. The built-in Chrome 9-video processor performs image via a D-sub or hdmi port.

The complete desktop measures only 146 52 99 millimeters and weighs about 0.6 kilograms. That is without the separate power supply, which is 12V supply. That is simply included, making the system a price of approximately 230 euros.
