EU tap the Netherlands again on the fingers to telecomregels

The European Commission has sixteen countries, including the Netherlands, for the second time admonished to the new European telecomregels to implement in national legislation. The member states are risking a corridor to the European Court.

The deadline for entering the new European telecomregels was at the end of may and in July were twenty member states, including the Netherlands, already urged to make it clear when they were planning the rules to fully implement. The European Commission is now know that sixteen countries the rules are still not fully in their nationele legislation. Except for the Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and the Czech republic.

The summation of the European Commission has officially the status of a ‘reasoned opinion’. The next step may be that the member states before the European Court of Justice or a financial penalty, though it may seem, having regard to the large number of countries that have not yet to implementation is adopted, it is not likely that Europe all these steps will proceed. According to the European Commission is the legislative process in all EU member states, and the majority would also have been a number of implementing measures have been reported.
