AMD would be new 28nm-proced lwa for graphics processors in the short-term roll-out. The first gpus based on the new 28nm-proced lwa are the 7000 series, and would be for the mobile entry and mainstreamsegment are intended.
Already in december, the London-series gpu’s from the stables of AMD to appear. The London series, such as the by TSMC on a 28nm process produced gpus be called, consists of five chips, each in up to five variants. The Seymour-gpu’s are the least interesting; this would be rebrands of existing gpu’s and would instapsegment operate. The other gpu’s, in the Chelsea, Heathrow, Thames and Wimbledon-series, for the middle – and higher segment referred to.
The Thames-gpu’s, for the mid-market segment, along with the Seymours, as the first to be introduced. Yet are ten variants of the Thames-gpu and six Seymours on the schedule. Later, the Wimbledon, Heathrow and Chelsea-gpu’s appear, but are, as yet, no order or known specifications. Would the chips be accompanied by at least 2GB of gddr5 memory, but clock speed are not fixed yet. In all likelihood, respectively the 7900-, 7800 – and 7700-series.
The new 28nm-Thames-gpu’s get a tdp of 15 to 25W, while the older, (40 nm) produced Seymour-gpu’s probably down. The list of preliminary specifications and order no., such as by the German site Computerbase is reported, is as follows:
