‘Successor to the Xbox 360 being announced at CES 2012’

A French website has from a reliable source heard that Microsoft in the beginning of 2012 at the CES trade show a new Xbox will announce. The hardware would consist of a hexacoreprocessor with two gigabytes of memory.

Website Xboxygen has learned that Microsoft is planning for the successor of the Xbox 360 to announce on CES 2012, the consumentenelektronicabeurs that from 10 to 13 January 2012. The French site also has an alternative explanation for the codenamed ‘loop’ that a week ago was identified; it would be the name of the team that is working on the software for the new console. The team called ‘infinity’ would be responsible for the hardware, which would consist of a hexacoreprocessor with two gigabytes of ddr3 memory. The graphics processor will be from the stables of AMD subsidiary ATI, according to Xboxygen.

The rumours about the new Xbox came out this year going after the new game console has appeared on the LinkedIn profiles of Microsoft employees. Game developers Electronic Arts and Crytek would be with devkits on games for the new console to work. Although the information in a rumor is different, point them all at an unveiling in 2012. A frequently mentioned date for the publication is the E3-gamebeurs in 2012, which is held from 5 to 7 June. Windows guru Paul Thurrott, known for WinSuperSite, mentions that the new Xbox in 2012.

Inquiring at the Dutch section of the Xbox shows that there is officially nothing is known about a new Xbox console.
