Nokia France confirms coming Windows 8 tablet

According to Paul Amsellem, ceo at the French branch of Nokia, the company plans in June 2012, a Windows 8 tablet. Nokia had earlier already know, the development of a tablet not to exclude, but then wanted to have nothing to confirm.

Amsellem made his statement in an interview with the French newspaper Les Echos. He explained that Nokia next year Windows Phone offer wants to expand with new devices in addition to the recently announced Lumia 800.

Supplementary would be the company, according to the chief also intends to have a tablet with Windows 8 to release in June 2012. That date is notable because the expectation is that Microsoft’s new operating system only in the autumn of 2012 will be available.

Details about the tablet gave Amsellem not, and it is therefore not clear whether the device on an x86 or ARM chip will run.
