Google has in Belgium lwa a privacyzaak 150.000 euros suitable. The company intercepted with its Street View cars data from wireless networks. In other countries Google was for the same reason, been the subject of research.
By the settlement with the Belgian privacy Commission prevents Google with a lawsuit over the privacyblunder, where data sent over unsecured wi-fi networks were sent, were captured by Street View cars of Google. That writes the Belgian newspaper De Standaard.
The Street View cars had certain information about wi-fi networks to collect, as determining the location, but several also other data.
