Boxee for the Boxee Box media player hd tuner released. The dongle makes it possible to television in hd quality on the media player to view, but it is not yet clear whether the tuner module also to Europe will come.
The Boxee Live TV, which is $ 49 costs, should be using the usb connection on the Boxee Box to be linked. The external tuner should then to a loose antenna connection or a coax cable from a cable provider.
Currently, the Boxee Live TV tuner only in the United States and Canada, where the tv viewer over the air, unencrypted free-to-air hd channels can be received, or where the kabelaar free-to-air channels forward according to the clearQAM standard. An epg feature is present, but a recording feature is missing, however.
Boxee argues that the separate tuner is particularly interesting for tv viewers that the relatively high kabeltarieven in the US are fed up with or particular content online. The company still shows nothing about the possibility that a similar tuner for the European market will release. Such a tuner would be at least the dvb-t support.
