Users of the Sony Reader reporting problems with screen update

Users of the recently released Sony PRS-T1 report that they suffer from a bevriezend screen, which makes the e-reader is no longer functioning. Sony let know are aware of the problem and want to fix it.

Several users on GoT notification of problems where the screen freezes. From the size is that the problem is structural. Sony has indicated it is aware of the schermbevriezingen and asks users of the problems describe them in detail. It is still unclear how widespread the problems are; not all users have indeed suffered from. Sony released its PRS-T1 last month in the Netherlands. The e-reader features a 6″ touch-sensitive screen with a resolution of 800×600 pixels. The device is based on Android and has already been hacked, making it possible for Android apps to install.

[14/12/2011]: There is now new firmware version 1.0.03.11140 appeared that the schermproblemen should fix the problem. This update is automatically installed when connected to the network.
