The British supreme court has decided that WikiLeaks frontman Julian Assange should be extradited to Sweden. Assange may again appeal to appeal, but the court must take the case treatment want to take.
According to the verdict of the judges is the European uitleveringsverzoek ‘proportionate’ and ‘legitimate’. The proposed defence, which the lawyers of Assange argue that the uitleveringsverzoek is unlawful, was also rejected. The forty years of Assange in december 2010 in the United Kingdom, held at the request of Sweden. Assange denied the allegations and maintains that the indictments politically motivated. His lawyers call the Swedish uitleveringsverzoek ‘unfair and unlawful’.
