Dutch webshops have the prices of hard drives in the past weeks significantly increased. Especially popular models appears to be the average price up to shoot. In some cases, it is almost a question of a doubling.
Since 2009, it seemed that the prices of traditional hard drives in a free-fall to hit. The huge drop in the average price per gigabyte of storage is in the past few weeks, however, almost offset by a huge increase in price of hard drives.
Research Tweakers.net on the basis of data from the Pricewatch shows that the average price of a hard drive in the past few weeks with a few tens of percent is increased. The price of a 2TB Samsung EcoGreen drive, which is currently the most popular hard disk in the Pricewatch, since the end of August, for example, with almost 74 percent.
