Japanese researchers have a concept for a presentation system has been developed that the content on the screen, let it flow around the person giving the presentation. For the system used is that of Microsoft’s Kinect.

For presentations with a beamer, it may occur that the person giving the presentation, accidentally in the picture. The audience can then the contents of that part of the screen is not good.

Researchers from the Meiji University and Aist have now a presentation system developed to allow the blocking of content is prevented. The system makes use of a Kinect sensor, which can be viewed, or the presenter on the screen, and on the basis of that image is the content around this person projected, as text around an image in a magazine flows.

Also, the researchers have built in to the presentation with movements to steer or operate. So could elements to the side to be slid, and can include pictures, like multitouch, on the projector screen be resized.

To make the system work, the researchers use the Kinect sensor from Microsoft, the Kinect sdk, the c#programming language and Excel. For example, the coordinates for the image content include stored in an Excel sheet. There is no use of PowerPoint or other presentation software.

Not only does the presentation system that content sometimes hidden from view, but also brings the according to the researchers, the role of the person giving the presentation more on the foreground instead of that the content is leading.
