It remains unclear what happens if Nokia’s Windows Phone devices are not as successful as Microsoft and Nokia hope. “Plan B is plan A: handsets with Windows Phone. It has to succeed,” says Sebastiaan van Silfhout, director of Nokia Netherlands, in an interview with Tweakers.net.

Nokia announced Wednesday its first two phones with Windows Phone, the Lumia 710 and the Lumia 800. “It does not equal with these two devices to succeed”, says Van Silfhout. “In 2012, We will many more devices with Windows Phone release. The mobieltjesmaker focuses, therefore, mainly in order to make people aware of Windows Phone. Nokia has a great sales success in the Netherlands it is necessary, acknowledges Van Silfhout. “We must turn the tide and that we want to do with Windows Phone.”

The Lumia 800, the first Windows Phone from Nokia, will be released in six countries, including the Netherlands. The aircraft will be from the 17th of november in the shops for 499 euros including vat. The Lumia 710 should be 320 euros is going to cost you.
