Awesomenauts, a 2d platformer from the Utrecht Ronimo Games, will be out in February for Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. The studio is known for the strategic Swords & Soldiers, that originally appeared on the Wii.
With Awesomenauts is the Dutch Ronimo Games on the road with Swords & Soldiers is smashed. The Utrecht studio, that the game in February 2012 on the market for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, has again opted for a colorful two-dimensional setting and a game made with a strategic slant. Awesomenauts looks like an old-fashioned 2d platformer, but plays more like a multiplayer online battle arena, or moba, a genre that is mainly known by the Warcraft III mod Defense of the Ancients. Ronimo to play in on the popularity of the genre. In addition to Ronimo’s Awesomenauts, there are still two games in the genre on the stack.
