Boeing is developing spacecraft at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center

Boeing is taking an old Space Shuttle hangar at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The aircraft manufacturers want containing capsules build that in the future astronauts will be launched. The deal is for at least 15 years.

Until recently, it was a number of hangars at the Kennedy Space Center for NASA’s Space Shuttle program. The agreement means that also non-profit and commercial organisations of the hangars. Thus in Orbiter Processing Facility No. 3 for at least fifteen years in the hands of aircraft manufacturer Boeing. It may be another five years be stuck.

Boeing wants to be in the hangar capsules develop for future spaceflight. The first parts of the so-called Crew Space Transportation, is expected to be about a year put together. The capsule, Boeing CST-100, from 2015 to seven astronauts at a time to transport to various space stations, including the International Space Station and the commercial Bigelow space station.
