Asus reveals new range of X79 motherboards

Asus has a line-up of motherboards with the X79 chipset is shown. In addition to the Rampage IV Extreme are three regular signs and a Sabertooth model of the TUF series. The boards are designed for Intel’s new generation processors.

The three regular motherboards, the P9X79, the P9X79 Pro and the P9X79 Deluxe. The flagship of this trio is the Deluxe, which features four pci-express x16 slots and two x1 slots. On either side of the LGA2011 socket are twice four memory slots are placed and the plate is provided with six usb 3.0 ports, bluetooth 3.0 and onboard wi-fi. Also eight sata ports, an led poster and support for ssd caching are present.

The P9X97 and the P9X79 Pro versions are easier: so does the Pro not have a second network port and the board are two usb 3.0 ports less on the i/o panel. Furthermore, there is an internal usb 2.0 header less. An interesting feature of the uefi that Asus with the X79 boards is the possibility of bios flashing without a cpu or memory to install: power supply on the board is sufficient. Prices made Asus not yet known.

According to Asus, this motherboard is intended for demanding users looking for stability and compatibility choose. The latest Sabertooth no longer has the ‘Tactical Vest’ that on the Sabertooth P67 motherboard.
