AMD announces professional FirePro V4900-map

AMD has a new model to its FirePro line of professional graphics cards added. The FirePro V4900 has 480 streamprocessors and 1GB of gddr5 memory, working memory, and can hold up to six monitors simultaneously.

The working memory is connected with a 128bits-memory bus, thus creating the ultimate bandwidth 64GBps true. The clock speed of the 480 streamprocessors is unknown. The card is compatible with the latest version of DirectX, OpenGL and OpenCL, and is also certified for a large number of software packages. On the back are two displayports and a dvi-output placed.

AMD is positioning the V4900 with its modest specs in the instapsegment of the professional video cards. The card occupies a single pci-express slot in the batter and used half of the maximum available length that is required by the standard. The V4900 uses less than 75W and therefore has no external power connection is required. Dell, HP, and Fujitsu have already indicated that the card in workstations will be used. In the single sales should be the V4900 $ 189 cost.
