The netherlands has 6.5 million mobile internet users. This is almost one in three mobile phones with a subscription for mobile internet. The mobile web users consume an average of 150MB of data per month.

The number of mobile terminals with high-speed internet increased last year from 4.4 million to 6.5 million. This is not to say that there are 6.5 million people mobile internet access: some people have two or more connectors. Also means a subscription for mobile internet is not that people actually use.

The 6.5 million mobile internet users consume almost 1000TB per month of data on the networks of KPN, Vodafone and T-Mobile. In 2008, it took almost a year for, so much data was verstookt. Per user of mobile internet, an average of 150MB verstookt.

KPN sees its market share slowly decrease, evidenced by the figures from the market authority OPTA. Although OPTA no exact figures are known, may, the share dropped from 35-40 percent to 30-35 percent. The other providers have remained the same: that indicates that the clients who are at KPN are gone, with both Vodafone, T-Mobile as virtual providers are up to.
