Sony is going worldwide in a total of 1.6 million tv’s recall due to oververhittingsgevaar. The problems would be a result of a defect in the backlight of the tv’s. It comes to models that in 2007 and 2008 are sold.
The recall of the Bravia tv’s according to Mail Online, the following models, all with a diagonal screen size of 40″ and a wcg-ccfl backlight: KDL-40D3400, KDL-40D3500, KDL-40D3550, KDL-40D3660, KDL-40V3000, KDL-40W3000, KDL-40X3000 and KDL-40X3500.
