Four Uk isps, with an opt-in for internetporno – update

Customers of the four largest British isps must explicitly indicate that they are pornographic web sites want to visit. The measure, which is being supported by the government, should protect children against harmful content.

The providers that participate in the initiative include BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin. Customers of these companies will not have porn sites more to visit if they do not meet the opt-in satisfied. Details about the measure are not yet known. Thus, it is unclear when this starts and what the size is of the black list. Previously gave some internet service providers that there are technical and legal objections were to the block.

According to The Guardian announces British prime minister Cameron the measure Tuesday to the No. 10-meeting of the christian Mothers’ Union-organisation, together with a number of other initiatives in children in protection need to take. Update Wednesday, 14.00: The above mentioned providers appear to be different than initially reported was for an opt-in for a filter chosen to have. Users do not need to indicate that they porn want to see, but will if they have a subscription decline, can choose that they parental controls will activate.
