Delphi XE2 can native apps for Windows, OS X and iOS

Software company Embarcadero has released more details revealed of Delphi XE2, a development environment for applications in Delphi are written. So can now code compiles for both 64bit Windows and iOS.

Delphi XE2 with FireMonkey, a new environment, which in a drag-and-drop environment applications can be built on the basis of Delphi, a dialect of Object Pascal, or C++ Builder. The gui of FireMonkey, depending on the platform, rendered by DirectX or OpenGL, reports the company.

Developers need to with XE2 not only software for Windows and OS X can compile, but also for iOS. This is support for ARM processors on the suite added by the compiler using FreePascal, a opensourceversie of Delphi. To build applications for Windows-based systems, is now also 64bit support is provided.

The exact release date of Delphi XE2 is not yet known, but according to Embarcadero is the revamped development environment this year.
