Timeline: gun violence in the United States
The incidents in Texas are heating up the discussion of gun ownership in the United States again, because again and again it comes to mass shootings. Here are the most devastating cases in the past ten years.
12. June 2016
Orlando, Florida
A 29-year-old man enters a night club, frequented mostly by Homosexuals. There, he takes hostages and kills a total of 49 people before he is shot after a few hours, even by the police. It is the most devastating attack by a single perpetrator in the history of the United States.
2. December 2015
San Bernardino, California
A married couple penetrates during the Christmas festivities in a facility for people with development impairments. You kill 14 people and hurt 21 others. On the run, they are killed by the police. The deed was religiously motivated – it is the most serious Islamist attack in the US since the 11. September 2001.

Charleston, South Carolina
In a Church in the predominantly black population of Charleston, runs, kills a man nine people. The fact is obvious racially-motivated. A short time thereafter, he is taken in North Carolina.

Washington Navy Yard
A 34-year-old Marine Reservist kills on a military base in the U.S. state of Washington, twelve people and is then killed in a shootout with police.

Newtown, Connecticut
In the Sandy Hook elementary school, a 20 shoot-Year-old, 20 children and six adults. Before departure to the school, he killed his mother. Then he commits suicide.

Aurora, Colorado
During the Midnight screening of a Batman movie, an armed man entered a theater, threw gas bombs and shoot twelve people. 70 will be seriously injured. Minutes later, he is taken in front of the cinema.
5. November 2009
Fort Hood, Texas
A poor pair shoots in a military facility in Texas and kills 13 people, more than 30 are injured. It is the worst incident ever on a U.S. military base.

Binghampton, New York
In the municipal foreigner authority, of Binghampton, a man kills 13 people and seriously injured four more. After that, he commits suicide.
10. March 2009
Alabama
In Alabama, a 28 kills-Year-old in three different locations in the South of the state, a total of ten people. Five of them were family members. During a subsequent shootout with the police, he commits suicide.
16. April 2007
Blacksburg, Virgina
At Virginia Tech University by a Student within a period of two hours 32 kills people and injured 17 more difficult. Up to the assassination of Orlando in 2016, this was the isolated incident with the most fatalities in the history of the United States.
