The summit day in Warsaw started with a Meeting between the American President Barack Obama and top representatives of the European Union. That would actually be Routine, but the murder of five police officers in Dallas overshadowed the only on an hour of the scheduled U.S.-EU summit. Barack Obama, who had previously got off the phone with the mayor of Dallas, went along with the President of the European Council and the European Commission in front of the cameras in Warsaw. “This is a dastardly and despicable act. There is not the slightest hint of a justification,” said the US President, during the U.S. television stations were broadcasting live.

Barack Obama: Shocked by the “senseless murder”

“We are appalled and stand at the side of the police and the people in Dallas. The perpetrators are held accountable and justice will be served,” promised Obama. The President acknowledged, however, that you know the backgrounds and motives of the act.

Probably four bombers were at a protest circuit lapse shot against police violence in Dallas, five policemen and eleven injured. The events can be seen in the broader context of tensions between the races in the United States. The relatively easy access to firearms in the United States made the events even more tragic, Barack Obama. Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, and Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the EU Commission, insured, they mourned with the US President and the American people to the victims of the assassination in Dallas.

In Brexit negotiations, prudence is necessary

Among the originally planned topics of the summit meeting between the USA and the EU-the Brexit, the impending withdrawal of Britain from the European Union, of course. US President Barack Obama regretted this step, and urged that negotiations should be conducted in a way that no damage arises. The UK must now find a new relationship with the EU. The European Integration should not suffer. “An integrated Europe is one of the most important achievements of our time,” Obama said. “The USA have a major interest in a United Europe.” This is since 70 years, and will remain even after the Brexit. The European Union remains an indispensable Partner on the world stage with many challenges. Then he promised the “love joys,” Donald and Jean-Claude that the partnership would continue. On the current difficulties in the negotiations on the planned trade agreements TTIP, the US President did so only briefly. TTIP is important in order to facilitate investment and to create Jobs.

Like a spaceship: the national stadium in Warsaw is the venue of the NATO

EU Commission President Juncker to handle the Ball and promised for the umpteenth Time, that the TTIP negotiations should be completed by the end of the year, until the end of the term of office of President Obama. Many professionals hold the almost impossible. The next TTIP round will take place next week in Brussels. The UK would have to negotiate after the exit from the EU a separate free trade agreement with the United States. The EU have, however, a priority announced by the US President in April. Jean-Claude Juncker made it clear once again that there could be negotiations with the United Kingdom only if the government body referred to in article 50 of the EU Treaty, a formal application to exit. The negotiations with “the British friends” he would lead “non-hostile” state of mind. The EU and the United Kingdom would, of course, common interests and values. If it is wool, but access to the EU internal market, it must accept also the freedom of movement for European workers.

Brexit should remain a case by case

Donald Tusk, EU Council President and former Polish Prime Minister, warned strongly against xenophobia, nationalism and anti-democratic slogans on both sides of the Atlantic, and also in his home country of Poland. The connection between the US and the EU be strong and tremendously important. “Who is attacking the US, the EU, and Vice versa,” said Tusk. He warned of the geopolitical consequences, which could have a Brexit. Also, you’ve spoken with the American guest. Therefore, he wanted to send from Warsaw to the world a strong Signal, so Tusk. “Brexit is a single event and not the beginning of a process. I say loud and clear, there is no sequel to this story.”
