Hosts France wanted to make clear from the beginning, who is the master of the house. They attacked early, and came through Antoine Griezmann for a first Chance. His shot to the right corner was parried by Manuel Neuer (7.). The German team tried it, especially on the wings. Can had the first Chance for Germany. His turn and shot from 16 meters into the left corner foiled Lloris (14.).

Griezmann turned safe to the 1:0 lead for the hosts. It was a very bitter pill for the German Eleven.

Boateng is injured

An hour was played, as another fundamental pillar of the German team fell away: Jerome Boateng injured himself without an opponent action. For him Skhodran Mustafi came into the game. Because in this Phase, too little forward happened Löw moved again, for Can he brought Mario Gotze in the game.

A inattention of Kimmich then provided for the decision.
