Israel government approves new settlements in East Jerusalem

Reaction and provocation: 800 new residential units are to be built in the annexed district. After the attacks of Palestinians on Israelis, the government in Tel Aviv had announced “aggressive” measures.

After new deadly attacks by Palestinians in the West Bank, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defence Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, the construction of 800 homes for Jewish settlers in East Jerusalem. This is the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz”, the Israeli Radio reported. Also, 600 apartments for Arabs in East Jerusalem have been approved. “Aggressive measures” as a response
