Morbid poetry: photographs by Michel Houellebecq in Paris
He became famous with the novel “elementary particles”. But Houellebecq has other obsessions: He photographed – very specifically. Artistic photographs of him are now on display in an exhibition in Paris.

The Provocateur
Not only Smoking is one of his many obsessions, such as the famous writer Houellebecq likes to tell in Interviews. His first book in 1992, carried the title “pursuit of happiness”, and his biography has given him as few answers. After that, his debut novel, “expansion of the combat zone” (1994), made him the shooting star of the French literature came.
