UEFA EURO 2016
Nine Fans sentenced to prison
After the riots at the football championship in France, the English Fan-Association disclaims any responsibility and accuses the Russians and the French. A total of nine violent offenders going to jail.
The official Association of English soccer Fans (Football Supporters Federation) stressed that the accusations against supposed British Hooligans have nothing to do with the real events around the game between England and Russia (1:1), in Marseilles in the Slightest. In a statement, it was said that Russian Fans and French Ultras and youth gangs had provoked the riots. “None of the incidents” had been initiated by English fans. Some would have fought back against the “cowardly, brutal attacks”, should not place the blame on them, especially since many would have defended their women and children.
A further allegation, the Fan Association has apparently overstretched French police. With the use of tear gas and water cannons, they would have hit Innocent as well as the Chaos created that allowed the (Russian) Hooligans, usually go Scot free. Around 150 “perfectly prepared” Russian Hooligans may have had an arrest, escape, confirmed the authorities. The “Russian Fan-message” also responded with a statement in which they condemned the attacks and apologized.

Only ten perpetrators of violence to justice
Overall, there had been at least 35 injured, including, as we Heard, also uninvolved. In the case of the bloody riots of Marseille, a seriously injured Englishman is still in a critical but now stable condition, confirmed the public Prosecutor’s office in Marseille. “The attackers could not be identified” had to Brice admit Robin, the Prosecutor of the southern French city. The track record of the authorities so far is devastating: Six British, one Austrian and three French will have to answer, so far only ten persons. The German, who was on Sunday in police custody, was missing on the list of the Prosecutor.
Six football Fans from England, two from France and one from Austria on Monday, two days after the serious riots in Marseille, detention has been sentenced. Against all men was imposed in fast-track procedure there is also a two-year entry ban. Another Frenchman got off with a suspended sentence. He was transferred by means of video recordings. In the case of the riots at the Old port suggested, and the man came in accordingly, at least three persons, who were not identified. In addition, he stole a Flag, as well as the Jersey of the English Fans. A 41-year-old nurse from England who needs to three months in prison, admitted to having a beer glass in the direction of the police thrown in. “It was a stupidity. My job is actually to help people. I wanted to impress my friends,” he said. A sentenced to two months of 20-year-old chef has been accused of a plastic Cup thrown and members of the Gendarmerie of the middle finger shown. “I apologize to the residents and the police Department of Marseille. I was at the wrong time in the wrong place. So I’m not actually,” the man said, the alcohol content of 0.86 ppm was found.
“Problems can not be solve”
The former security officer of the DFB issued by the French authorities, meanwhile, a bad testimony: “to be Honest, it’s a little frightening, that the French have not perceived the Standards of the last 15 years in dealing with Problem Fans, or ignored,” said the head of security for the 2006 world Cup, Helmut Spahn, the “image”-newspaper. Spahn also criticised the alleged lack of cooperation of the French police with the scene informed officials from the European participant countries. His verdict: “I think that the problems with this EM can in the short term, not more.”
Helmut Spahn: “the French ignore safety Standards,”
Football-Fanforscher Gunter A. Pilz criticised in the TV channel Sky of the French security concept. “You certainly could have the excesses of the shutdown.” The French authorities would have to beat out “in the run-up to the support, the help and other offers. The has been avenged in a sad way”. The riots were foreseeable. “If UEFA level this game already three months ago as a game of alarm and, therefore, as a high-security risk has been classified, then you must be able to expect that in the stadium, the security arrangements are so made, that it is not possible that Russian Hooligans attack English Fans.”
The Central information point sport inserts the CIS also pointed out that because of the freedom to travel in Europe, the risk of Fan-don’t be riots turn it off completely. “In Europe we are able to move relatively freely, so the movements of the Interferers are difficult to control,” said CIS chief Jürgen Lankes of the newspaper “The world”. According to the assessment of the CIS, it is possible that German Hooligans are staying in France. “We can’t fix all of the known interferer in Germany,” said Lankes.
