After the riots: the prohibition of alcohol in EM
In the case of the riots between Hooligans in Marseille and Lille, too much alcohol was in the game. The French government has at least limited for “sensitive places” for the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve was asked after the riots, almost 40 injured, local authorities, and to impose in “sensitive areas” alcohol bans. So, the cities of Lyon and Toulouse put at least restrictions on the sale of alcohol. The competent prefect banned it to sell to Fans of alcohol to Take away. Prison sentences for Hooligans
Two days after the violent riots in Marseille before and after the game between England and Russia, there are six football Fans from England, two from France and one from Austria to imprisonment of up to one year have now been sentenced.
