LG puts Windows Phone device again

LG brings its Windows Phone unit Optimus 7, again under the name Optimus 7.5. Hardware and design are unchanged, but the device now has a Dutch interface. LG would also have a device with Android 4.0 wish to release.

The name Optimus 7.5 refers to the version number that Microsoft has given to its major update for Windows Phone. The Optimus 7.5 is equal to the Optimus 7, but the update is pre-installed. The big difference with the Optimus 7 is the language; the interface on the Optimus 7.5 works in English, while the interface of the Optimus 7 even after the update not on can be set. The Optimus 7.5 is 319 euros in costs. The Optimus 7 is going to be off the market, but for less than 200 euros in the Pricewatch.

New equipment we need for LG to be expected, as the company Tuesday announced at the telecomevenement that retailer Phone House each fall. “We now have a whole line-up of smartphones in their shelves”, said a spokesman for the manufacturer. “We work course on new devices, including 3d functionality. That is, however, not yet soon.”

LG also introduced the 3D Game Converter for Dutch users of its smartphone Optimus 3D. With the software can OpenGL games, such as Angry Birds, can be converted from 2d to 3d on the phone. The app will be via an over-the-air update to users of the Optimus 3D to be pushed. The Optimus 3D, which in August was released and by Tweakers.net under hands was taken, has a autostereoscopisch 3d screen, enabling 3d images without glasses can be viewed.

The Korean manufacturer is also working on the latest Android devices Optimus 2X Speed, Optimus Black and Optimus 3D to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It is unclear whether Android 4.0 ICS also as an update to the devices. The manufacturer has on Facebook made it clear that there is in any case an update is coming for the 2X Speed.

Also did the first rumors about a new Android device from LG with Android 4.0. The Optimus U1 could be a device with a 720p screen for the South Korean market, reports GSM Arena. Further details are still unclear. Google brings Android 4.0 later this month on the Samsung phone Galaxy Nexus. Then follow only devices of other manufacturers with the new version of Googles mobile operating system.
