“My fight”edition is a Bestseller
Since their Appearance at the beginning of January was the critical Edition already of 24,000 copies sold. Currently, it is already the third edition in the trade. Neo-Nazis should have no particular interest in the book.
This information is made, the lead Institute for contemporary history (IfZ). “The demand is definitely there”, said an Inter-spokeswoman in Munich. The Institute had Adolf Hitler’s Hetzschrift the beginning of 2016 after years of working as a critical Edition on the market. Against the project, it had resistance, among other things, by Charlotte Knobloch, the President of the Jewish community of Munich and upper Bavaria.

150 € for used copies at Amazon

The Institute had, however, according to project Manager Christian Hartmann, the first 4000 pieces at a price of 59 euros sold. “The award demonstrates two things: We don’t want it give away and not into any Bestseller lists, but we would like also to be read.” In the best-seller list of the news magazine “Der Spiegel” has it, the book still managed. Already a week after the publication had to be reprinted. At the presentation on 8. January was, according to Hartmann’s 15,000 pre-orders.

The Minister of justice of the German Federal States have decided that an uncommented dissemination of “Mein Kampf” also after the expiry of the Urheberschutzfrist banned in Germany.
