Mud Dr. Moddnstine has an IBM Aptiva from 1995 transformed in to a modern pc, but with preservation of as much as possible original details. That last of course needed a floppydiskdrive that meets the current standards.
The 3.5″-floppy drive is associated with a 5.25″-floppydrivestekker, combined with a usb adapter. In this way Dr. Moddnstine a “modern” floppy drive. The mechanism of the protective cap of a 3.5″-floppy disk drive to open, also works still. In this way can a real 3,5″floppy in the disk drive are slid, after which the door slides open, and then data on what was some improvisation in the floppy inserted sd card can be read.
Apart from the conversion of the floppy disk and the drive, crossed the mud, and also a lot of time in the remodeling of the entire cabinet contemporary hardware can verstouwen. Furthermore, it contains the classic housing is now an Intel Core i7-6700K processor, which is cooled by a Corsair H80i 77.0 CFM-water system. All this is on an Asus Maximus VIII Gene micro-atx board with two time 8GB of Corsair ddr4 ram. If the video card is an Asus Radeon R9 390 in the build, and the power supply is a Corsair RM 750W.
