Record attendance at the Berlinale

The Berlinale has set a new record. At the 66. Edition of the prestigious film festivals were 337.000 movie tickets sold.

So was the onslaught of the audience so big as never before, shared the organizer on Monday (22.02.2016). On Sunday were the Venice International film festival with an open house at the end.

The Golden bear for the best Film was the Italian Director Gianfranco Rosi won – for his refugee documentation “Fuocoammare”.

The next Berlinale will be from the 9. to 19. February 2017 to take place.
