Valve has in the latest update for the b lwa taclient of Steam with an fps counter added. He also made the online gamesplatform known that the record of number of users active at the same time on Steam is broken, and now at more than 8.5 million users.
Valve rolled out Friday its most recent update for the Steam Beta Client, where the addition of a frames-per-second-counter, the most important feature. The update was focused on improving and optimizing various parts of the client. The fps counter works via the Steam Overlay. That means that the counter is not usable for games that use AMD api Mantle. Steam Overlay works only with DirectX and OpenGL.
The roll-out of the new update is not the only news that Steam announced. The service also reports that a new record is established of the number of users active at the same time is on the gamesplatform. On January 1, went that number is about 8.4 million people, while on January 4, the border of 8.5 million users has been breached, as is seen on the stats page that Steam itself keeps track of.
