QNAP has four nas systems announced with AMD quadcores. The two 8bay models, a 6bay-variant and a 4bay nas. One of the 8bay models will default to a 10GbE port.
The storage systems in the TVS-x63 series get an AMD Embedded G-Series soc with four cores, a clock speed of 2.4 GHz and a Radeon gpu. The chips provide support of up to 16GB of ram, hardware encryption capabilities, and support for AMD-V virtualization.
The systems have further sata 600 ports, two gigabit lan ports, pci-e and 10GbE. There are also five usb 3.0 ports and there is two times hdmi. QNAP rest of the TVS-863+ standard with 10GbE and this 8bay model will also receive 8GB ram. The TVS-863 is a variant with 4GB of ram, while the TVS-663 with six drive bays and the same number of ram should do. The TVS-463 finally, a 4bay model with 4GB of ram. Later this month should the nas systems on the market for as yet unknown prices.
