The number of active users of WhatsApp continues at the same pace to grow as before. The instant messaging service claims 700 million active users, 100 million more than 4,5 month ago. That users send per day, 30 billion messages.
The number of active users of WhatsApp increases for several years, between 20 and 30 million per month and that growth is still, despite the advent of many competitors. Director Jan Koum of the recently Facebook acquired the company posted the figures Wednesday night.
If growth at this rate continues, will reach WhatsApp in about a year the milestone of a billion active users. This would make it one of the few online services which achieve that. Among others, Google, YouTube and Facebook have that boundary broken.
Facebook took over WhatsApp last year for more than eighteen billion euros. The acquisition and the negative reactions to the blue checkmarks seem to have no effect on the growth of the number of active users of WhatsApp.
