“Kodak presents first smartphone”

Former camerabedrijf Kodak did at the CES, its first smartphone to be presented. The IM5 is aimed primarily at less experienced users of smartphones, with an interface that should be simple. It’s not specific to a camera phone.

The phone has the name Kodak on it, but the Uk’s Bullitt Group, which is under the more solid phones under the brand name CAT sells, the smartphone developed. It is a device with a variant of Android 4.4, with large interface elements and built-in remote-management software.

The device, with the name IM5, has a 5″screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, while the phone runs on a 1.7 GHz octacore processor. Probably going to have a MediaTek soc, such as the MT6592. Kodak has a camera with autofocus and a maximum resolution of thirteen megapixel on the rear, while the front camera has a maximum resolution of five megapixel. The manufacturer mentions little about the device. The working memory has a size of 1GB, while storage is 8GB.

Kodak and Bullitt have published anything about the price, but the specifications will be between 150 and 250 euro. The phone is a few months out in Europe.
