“French company presents ‘smart’ belt with motion sensor and engine”

A French company has at CES, a smart belt is presented, in which data about motion tracking via a motion sensor and on the basis thereof automatically riemer tighter or looser. The Belty should be available later this year.

The French Emiota, is the maker of the belt. The company presented itself at CES Unveiled, an event preceding the American consumer electronics where smaller companies where able to present to the gathered press. Among others, The Verge and Gizmodo published the smart belt.

Thanks to the accelerometer the belt detect whether the user is going to sit or stand and adjusts to how tight he is. Moreover, it detects if the pants are on the point of down south. Using a smartphone app is also adjust how tight the belt should be.

Further, there are still very few details known about the Belty. He should be released this year, but when, at what price and with what designs is still unknown. Also the exact hardware in the belt is unclear, although it is obvious that in addition to an accelerometer, also a bluetooth module sitting for communication.
