Xtreamer has released a new version of its Prodigy media player announced. The new model has the possibility to play videos with a 4k resolution to play. In mid-February should the media player be available worldwide.
The manufacturer has the Prodigy 4K on its site and reports that it is 179 euros. Thus, the cost of the media player the same as its predecessor. In the pre-sale, customers get another 30 euro discount. As the name suggests has the new Prodigy media player as the main innovation, support for video in 4k resolution. Files encoded with h265 can be played. Video recording is still limited to 1920×1080 pixels.
Further, the software is based on Android 4.4 with Play Store built in. There is space for a hard drive in 3.5″format with a maximum storage of 3TB. In the housing rotates a Mstar9180 processor with four Cortex A9 cores at a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. The ram is 2GB and by default, there is 8GB of storage space available. Wi-fi is supported in the form of 802.11 n while there is also an ethernet connection is built in.
