“Security researchers Google create vulnerability in Windows 8.1 public”

Google has this week a vulnerability in Windows 8.1 disclosed, because Microsoft was late with the patching of the bug. The error was discovered by a team of security researchers under the name Project Zero operates.

The bug makes the regular Windows 8.1 users as possible, without the authorisation administrator rights. This will give them access to functionality that they normally would not hear. However, the users must therefor have valid login-data and also physically conscious device, says Microsoft at Engadget.

Security researchers from Google came the error in september on the track. They are part of Project Zero, which last year was started and the internet a safer place should make. The researchers aim with the research project the number of ‘zero day’vulnerabilities to decrease. In addition, they must take the software of other companies under the microscope.

Google has the vulnerability this week made public. The internetgigant proposed Microsoft said in september are already aware of this, but that software failed to find the bug within the prescribed period of ninety days to crush it. According to Google, this would be why the public make of the bug – including relevant information and a proof-of-concept – righteous.

The question is to what extent Google to do a vulnerability to disclose. This is now a lively discussion to arise. Some people believe that publication of the security does not benefit. Google defends himself, however, by saying that computer users strive to be able to act as soon as they are of the existence of the bug to know. Microsoft says a patch to work.
